Sumerian Daemons

Mykola Makhin SepticFlesh has reunited to play heavier than ever, shifting into symphonic thrash/death metal areas, with occasional slower tracks that remind of earlier days with their guitar melodies. (There is however a slower yet heavy as hell track on this album - Virtues of the Beast - a definite favorite of mine).

This album isn't yet really symphonic, unlike ones following it, it has rather hints of what's to come - but important thing is that it's good. Less pompous, more to the point. Favorite track: Virtues of the Beast.

Lividmetal Truly epic and diverse in terms of sound and production. Gothic, operatic, and industrial elements all come to together to make this one of the most powerful death metal albums ever released. Favorite track: Virtues of the Beast.

When SEPTICFLESH released their comeback-album "Communion" in March 2009, the response was overwhelming. The Greeks returned in triumph, had to answer more than a hundred interviews toured through Europe in spring and will again with Cradle of Filth in December. This success has led to a dramatically increased demand for SEPTICFLESH's 5th and now out-of-print classic "Sumerian Daemons" originally released in 2003 on the meanwhile dissolved label Hammerheart Records. Now Season of Mist brings back this sought-after neo-classical masterpiece of extreme music, which fuses cinematic orchestral passages with melodic Dark Metal at the border of Black, Death and Gothic Metal.
